Entrance Fees
$7 per vehicle (up to four adults) for the night of viewing, instruction and family fun. Camping is available at the park (additional fee). Reserve campsites online at AZStateParks.com

Previous Star Gazing Events at Alamo Lake
The 4th Annual Night Under the Stars at Alamo Lake State Park, north of Wenden, AZ, featured 10 telescopes and an Astro Photo demonstration by JD Maddy, President of Astronomers of Verde Valley. Alamo is a great park to camp, fish or boat and is an especially great place to star gaze due to its dark sky conditions. Event was held November 6, 2010. Watch Video
The 3rd Annual Night Under the Stars was on November 14, 2009 and celebrated the "International Year of Astronomy"

The 1st Annual Night Under the Stars was held on November 3, 2007 to help celebrate the Arizona State Parks' 50th Anniversary - read an excerpt from the 2007 announcement. 2007 Night under the Stars begins at 2 p.m. The event will feature family activities, star fair, astronomy presentations from Lowell Observatory and a Star Party beginning at 7 p.m. View the stars and constellations during the Star Party and, if you have one, please bring a red flashlight. There will be small red flashlights available so everyone will be able to participate in the fun and educational star party. Also bring any comfort items such as folding chairs, warm clothes, bug repellent, bottled water and snacks. Regular day use park fees will be waived for this event. Primitive to full hookup camping sites are available at a fee of $10 to $22 depending on the type of camping site needed".
