We are a group of volunteers who want to enhance the spirit of community in our local area by providing opportunities for friendship, enrichment and good old fashioned fun.

VARIETY SHOW A HUGE SUCCESS
Thank you to all the fabulous entertainers who shared their talents with us on March 1st. The show was lots of fun, and people of all ages came together as a community; that’s the goal!
Special thanks to Marjorie Bohlen for lining up the talent, Jeff Bohlen for acting as MC, and Ed Willard for working as Sound Engineer. Well Done!

Weekly Events ~
- Lunch on Tuesdays –Serving promptly at noon. Donation of $4 is suggested. Main courses planned: March 5th-Beef Stew, March 12th-Chicken Corn Chowder, March 19th-Corned Beef, Cabbage & Potatoes, March 26th-Spaghetti w/meat sauce (turkey). Menu subject to change.
- Quilter Tuesdays 9:00am-3:00pm. Enjoy conversation and collaboration! Join anytime.
- Music Jam Wednesdays 6:30pm. Doors open by 5:30pm. $1 donation requested.
- Zumba Gold Thursdays, taught by Jean Marcley. Using a DVD – donation is $1 per session. Try it!!
March 2013 1st Variety Show– Friday, March 1st at 7:00pm. Admission is $3. Singers, Musicians, Skits, Dancers, lots of laughs and family fun. *see details below 2nd Golf Tournament – Saturday, 3/2 at Greasewood Golf Course. *see details below 9th Dance to Melody Masters – Saturday, March 9th at 7:00pm. Admission is $4. Don’t miss the last dance of the season – this group is very good!! 11th Library Book Sale – Monday, March 11thfrom 9:00am to 3:30pm. Bargain prices& great selections. 16th Book Club - Wednesday, March 16th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Discussing “The Language of Flowers” by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.Cost: $3. Bring your own book or call Marie Duryee (503) 577-0059 to borrow one. After discussion, we will go to Evey Furgeson’s for a potluck lunch. 18th TVIA/CCC Board Meeting – Monday, March 18th at 4:00 p.m. Please bring your suggestions for activities for the whole community. (note change from usual Tuesday meeting) 30th Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, March 30th at 11:00am sharp. Children ages 2-12 are invited to hunt for eggs and get candy and prizes. FREE. We are seeking monetary donations from the community to assist us in purchasing eggs, candy and prizes. Bring to CCC in an envelope marked “Easter Egg Hunt”.Thank you! This event is provided by Centennial Community Center with assistance from the AZ Desert Riders ATV Club.
Please join us when you can. We are always looking for additional volunteers to help at events, greet visitors during hours of operation, and help in various other ways. Please contact us at the library to discuss volunteer opportunities or to ask questions or speak to the volunteer in the office Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm (859-3069).
Our lunches, dinners and events are very affordable so that everyone can participate. If you are financially fortunate, please consider making a separate donation to help us cover our costs (utilities, restroom supplies, insurance, trash, propane, office supplies etc.) Make tax deductible checks payable to Tri-Valley Improvement Association.
The Centennial Community Center has a beautiful setting on Centennial Park Road half way between Wenden and Salome south of Hwy 60 - directly across from the Greasewood Golf Course.
The Centennial Community Center is owned by La Paz County and operated by Tri-Valley Improvement Association, a non-profit, all volunteer organization with a mission to
"Improving the Outback, One Life at a Time".
The new La Paz County Centennial Public Library is located in the Community Center and replaces the Indian Hills Branch Library that was previous located in Salome.
